PUBLIC COMPANIES

The firm has expertise from long experience in the provision of assurance and related compliance services for junior public companies, with a specific emphasis on the junior mining sector.  Our public company clients, while generally based in Vancouver, conduct resource property exploration around the world.

Beyond audit and related specialty services, such as assistance with public offering documents and form 20-F registration statements filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the firm also has the ability to efficiently outsource basic bookkeeping, accounting and corporate tax compliance services where necessary in conformity with our auditor independence rules.

Our size enables us to deliver efficient and affordable services in the increasingly complex and costly regulatory environment facing junior issuers.  Our approach is practical and involves the continual application of professional judgment to reach outcomes, which balance the requirements of our clients, regulators and third party users of the information on which we report. All partners are actively involved in client work, and have an informal, ‘open-door’ policy with clients and staff, that promotes efficiency and an appreciation of the importance of client service.
As partners we utilize our staff on a pooled basis, we prioritize our recruitment efforts and the firm generally has low employee turnover. Staff members assigned to particular engagements are therefore typically able to continue on those jobs for multiple years, a factor that we find our clients appreciate.

The practice of providing assurance services to public companies is regulated, separate from and in addition to the normal oversight that we are subject to within our profession, in both Canada and the United States.  The firm is registered as an auditor of public companies with both the U.S. Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) and the Canadian Public Accountability Board (CPAB).
A link to our profile, and Canadian public company client listing, at the CPAB website is HERE. We encourage potential clients to peruse the CPAB site for additional information about the initiatives that organization is taking to enhance audit quality in Canada.

Potential public company clients should reach out to Jim Gray at 604-687-5447, extension 2, or Cameron Dong at extension 8.
